Playing Catch-Up

I'm importing pictures from Chloe's latest dance recital, and as I'm scrolling through pictures, I'm realizing I never posted pictures from LAST year's recital. Or Chloe's birthday. Or, more recently, Halle's birthday. Or, you know, from last May when we went to Europe. (Good grief. Did I only post two blogs on that trip? Oh my.)

So I'm not promising to post ALL of those pictures (besides, for pictures of Europe, you can visit my Facebook page), and I still plan to blog about the trip, but...*sigh*. Not now. But I figured I would post some older pictures because they're just sittin' here molderin' on Picasa.

Without any further ado, I present Halle's birthday party (only two months later).

Halle decided she wanted a black and white party, prompted in part by the fact that she wanted a music theme. (She used to play piano and now she plays flute, first chair, thank-you-very-much.)

The cake, prompted by some cupcakes on the Kraft recipes website. And, why yes, I did use my Betty Crocker 100-piece Cake Decorating Kit!

This was the plate we put pizza on. It's also, by the way, the plate I made when we visited Practically Pikasso for Halle's last birthday.

Seesters (both of whom have had haircuts since this picture).

The birthday girl.

Up next: Chloe's recital pictures (two years' worth) and my latest home project.

CUUUUTE! Love the black and white - the table setting looks fantastic, and the cake is outta sight! Sweet pic of the girls.
I hope the cushion and pillows are going to be featured soon too.
Eagerly awaiting Chloe's recital pics...
