*Expletive-deleted* Explications

I've started reading Wuthering Heights. Let's just pause for a moment and reflect on the oddity of this.

1. I haven't read any book for personal reasons since August.
2. Normally when I read a book for personal reasons, it's an easy read. This is just the way I prefer it. Reading is fun. I don't want to have to think too hard about what I'm reading if I don't have to.
3. Normally when I read a book for personal reasons, it's a happy book. I'm just not big on tragedy. Wuthering Heights, according to the back cover, is a "deeply tragic work." (I don't remember much about it.)
4. Wuthering Heights?!? I haven't read this book since high school!

I'm only a few pages in so far, but I have no other reading obligations till next weekend. I'm mildly curious about whether I'll finish or not. I'll let you know how it goes. I will NOT, NOT, NOT explicate any passages for you, even if I am trying to figure out why I highlighted stuff (from high school, remember).

Umm... all I remember about that book was that it was the most depressing book I'd ever read!

Are you still reading it?

I haven't read for a couple of days, but I'm about half way through it, and fully intend to finish it. I've been enjoying it so far.
